“I paint what I know. In many ways, my work is a journal, a pictograph of my life. Since early childhood, I have been an amateur explorer, a naturalist, a horseman, and a budding artist. Passions God embedded in my soul, and somehow at a very young age, I knew or maybe just felt the unrelenting drive to pursue it all because exploring, tracking, studying animals, both wild and domestic, and how best to portray them through art will forever be intertwined in my mind as one pursuit.”  - Mary
